On behalf of the committee of the North West Ward Association, I would like to thank all the people who supported us on June 30. The village turned out to support this green oasis meadow on the annual fun day organised by the committee.

The prizes which were suppled by the retail shops in the village and further afield, also those that use the meadow on a daily basis, were persuaded into supporting the meadow.

We were very lucky with the weather which remained sunny, except with opening speech, without the help of the volunteers we could not have made the day for what it was. The money raised will be spent on the maintenance of the meadow, but this is not our main objective, this day brings the village of Catshill togetehr in a very happy manner. I am sure all the people who use the meadow for walking their dogs, mothers with their children in the play area and Chadsgrove School taking their pupils to enjoy the facilities.

Walking on the footpath all the way round is quarter of a mile. Four times round is one mile. Many do their exercise this way. So we need to look after this oasis and I know you will support us in the future. Thank you all again, see you next year.
