THERE has recently been a lot of complaints about charity collectors on the High Street, but I believe you can avoid them if you really want to.
I believe there’s a bigger problem which you have difficulty to avoid is the “Can we help you with your packing?”
brigade at Morrisons supermarket. You pay for your shopping then faced with the Scouts, football teams etc collecting for their particular cause. It’s a kind of anintimation, youfell guilty ifyoudon’t put something in , so many people give something to ease their conscience.
May I suggest these collectors stand well away from the tills and if shoppers really want to give something the shopper can go and give something without feeling pressure to do so.
It reallt is hard to avoid collectors at Morrisons and many people do give to charities in not so obvious ways.
