I READ your article (Droitwich Advertiser 04/03/15) with interest this evening as my family and I are residents of Stalls Farm Road.
I agree with the comments made in your article from the other residents quoted.
My own personal opinion is that commuters are choosing to park in the local roads to avoid parking fees and the fact they may be too lazy to walk very far. There are, of course, plenty of parking spaces available in the town spread throughout various car parks. One other important concern appears to have been omitted from your article, however.
Cars are double-parking at the station end of Stalls Farm Road, close to each other and many children need to cross the road at that end of the road to go to school each morning and home again in the afternoons - Westacre Middle School and Droitwich Spa High School.
The number of cars parking in the area make it very difficult for children to cross the road safely and I feel it is only a matter of time before a child is knocked down and seriously injured or even worse.
Perhaps a resident’s parking permit scheme would help solve the problem ?
