AS with the majority of Bromsgrove District Housing Trust sheltered housing tenants facing the total increase of £9.39 proposed to be introduced as an Enhanced Management Service charge, I am disgusted that once again the most vulnerable in society are being targeted.
Both articles recently published only refer to OAPs and have omitted there are many disabled tenants in these sheltered housing schemes who are also affected. The most recent comments from a group in Charford incorrectly stated that the new charges would include the emergency alarm system – we have been advised we will now have to pay for this service as well unless we meet a certain ‘care criteria’.
When signing up to a sheltered housing tenancy agreement with BDHT this included the extra support offered by them, so I would question how this can cease.
