FAIRFIELD Villa's fabulous run of form blew up their faces when thrashed 5-0 by Droitwich Spa in Midland League Division Two.
Villa spokesman Paul Oakes offered no excuses and said: "Droitwich absolutely dominated from start to finish. They did a comprehensive and very professional job on us.
"I could claim we had key players like Connor Collins and Rueben Wilson missing, but that's going to happen to everyone at this stage of the season.
"We just have to get straight back up on the bike again!
Villa have little time to dwell on that defeat as they entertain Boldmere Sports and Social Falcons this Saturday in the semi-final of the Les James Cup.
Boldmere currently sit third in Midland League Division Three and Oakes claimed: "We know little about Boldmere but that is no excuse.".
The winners will meet either high flying Division Two side Smithswood Firs or league leaders NKF Burbage in the final.
Villa have another important date the following Thursday when they host local rivals Feckenham in the Evesham Hospital Cup
