RYLAND Netball Club’s under-19s team have been crowned regional winners.

The team lost once in 12 games to top the table, scoring 139 goals and conceding 39, with Annabel Scott, captain Polly Fletcher, Lydia Harrop, Kaya Wilson, Jess Willcox, Pela Millard, Grace Claydon, Beth Jones, Pippa Brock and Emily Morrice all playing their part.

The under-16s also had a fine season and came second in the Worcester County League at the Stourport netball dome.

In the regional tournament, Ryland’s team came seventh.

The under-14s qualified to represent Worcestershire by coming second in the county and finished sixth in the West Midlands.

There were thanks for Julie Grant, who organised the squads and scored as well as for players, parents and Sylvia Harrison for arranging umpires.

Zoey and Clare Harris organised squads and warm-ups, while Brenda Brown and Lyn Smith were in charge of scoring and flipping.

The senior team powered to the title in the regional Division One.

They will now take part in the play-offs in Essex next weekend.

The seniors clinched the Redditch League Division One title.
