DROITWICH Spa played their part in an entertaining match as they were edged out 3-2 by Midland Combination Division One leaders Phoenix United.
Spa were shot down by a hat-trick from Kieron Clarke.
Stuart Price and substitute Nick Seasbourne bagged the goals for the home side.
They face a tough test at second-placed Chelmsley Town on Saturday (3pm ko).
n Fairfield Villa were held by Sutton United in a 1-1 draw.
Nathan Davies had put them ahead but Steve Radzynski levelled for the away side.
Mid-table Fairfield take on Phoenix away on Saturday (3pm ko).
