Rotary Club of Bromsgrove:

Club president Debbie opened the meeting, welcoming members and guests to Rosado's in Aston Fields.

The guests included the head teacher from St John's School, Geraint Roberts, along with teacher Matt Ridge. The Club, via the Len Giles Trust, had sponsored a summer holiday project for 20 pupils who were unlikely to be going away or undertaking summer activities due to family circumstances. The activities were supported by local high school students undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh Award enabling a wide range of activities to take place. The project demonstrated that the pupils built confidence, developed friendships and gained support in moving to a new school after the break.

Following a buffet meal Debbie welcomed Assistant Rotary Governor John Barker. John identified that the Bromsgrove Club was welcoming and indeed happy. The quality of the Club's website (bromsgroverotary.org.uk) was recognised as informative and supportive of the Rotary central organisation.

Further details of the club and how to apply for membership are contained on the website.
