The Bromsgrove Lecture, the 30th successive year, was held at Bromsgrove School at the end of March and proved to be outstanding.
A complete sell out of tickets and therefore a capacity audience, who were treated to an enthralling incite into Herbert Austin’s life and his business activities.
The speaker, Max Hunt, illustrated Lord Austin’s life from beginnings in a family farm, the development of sheep shearing equipment, the early development of his cars, the progress of the Longbridge factory and the enormous contribution to the war effort during two world wars.
The audience were very attentive and gave the speaker a huge ovation.
