Carol opened the meeting and Jerusalem was sung accompanied by Maggie on the piano.

Carol told us the sad news that Margaret Rowley's husband had died and we all send our thoughts and condolences to her.

The visit to the Artrix Theatre to see 'The Rat Pack' on January 17 was very enjoyable. Many thanks to Beverley for organising it.

The annual meal is booked for February 17 at The Gate, Bournheath at 7pm.

On March 9 we will be holding a skittles evening in the Village Hall. Hopefully this will be well attended as it should be a good night.

There is a meeting of the Produce Show Committee on February 24 at Anne Griffins.

There is a coffee morning organised by Mary Davies on March 22 at 10.30am at Catshill Working Men's Club. There will be a charge of £2 per person. Do come along. The coffee mornings at Amphlett Hall were always well attended and it will be nice to meet up with everyone again.

Wendy has volunteered to be our representative at the Village Hall Committee meetings held once a month in the Village Hall.

There will be a new members list out next month.

To celebrate their 99th birthday Bromsgrove WI are having a tea and cake afternoon on 8th March.

Worcester Federations Centenary is in 2018 and they are asking for ideas to celebrate this.

Our speakers this evening were Holly Young and staff from Wellbeing at The Wishing Well in Bromsgrove.

Holly began by telling us about The Wishing Well and its range of holistic treatments.

Fi then explained the art of Reiki to us. “Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing process of the patients body and restore physical and emotional well being”

We did a Reiki Train in which everyone held hands, right hand up and left hand down (that was our first challenge) so that energy was channelled through the line.

Finally the different massages and reflexology treatments and their benefits were explained to us. Ilse volunteered to have a shoulder and head massage by the therapist which she seemed to enjoy very much.

The whole thing was very interesting and enjoyable and I shall be going there to have some sort of treatment in the future, also The Well Being Café at The Wishing Well has apparently lovely cakes and everyone is very welcome to go just for a social visit.

Ilse gave the vote of thanks.

The competition of first spring flower was won by Beverley second Maggie and third Sheila

The raffle was won by Ilse and Beverley.
