PRESIDENT Val Wheeler welcomed members and three visitors to our November meeting.
We held our AGM first and then Val introduced the speaker, Jane Brook, whose talk was entitled Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter – which are you? Jane is a colour analyst with House of Colour, an international company. She covers the Worcestershire area helping people to discover their skin tones and the colours which suit them.
She has a wide range of clients from teenagers who want to look good at their school proms to high flying business women - and men.
She said that once you know your skin tone and the colours that suit you, you could make your wardrobe work for you and increase your confidence – if you look good, you feel good she emphasised.
She had a chart showing all the colours of the spectrum and with the aid of drapes she demonstrated which colours went well together and which didn't. Jessica thanked her for a fascinating talk and said we would all be going home to cast a critical eye over our wardrobe.
Deana was presented with the Competition Shield for 2013 and a Boots gift token. The afternoon's competition, a special scarf, was judged by Jane and won by Hazel with Jill second and Mary third. We enjoyed our tea and biscuits reflecting on a most interesting afternoon.
We meet at Finstall Village Hall at 2pm on the first Monday of the month except January.
New members are always warmly welcomed.
