MEMBERS of the public are being invited to Breme Care Home in Bromsgrove for a day of belly dancing, pampering and cupcakes on October 1 to help mark UK Older People’s Day.

The care home is throwing open its doors in a bid to encourage people to find out more about the people who live there and what the home is like.

People are invited to drop into the care home on Providence Road any time between 10.30am and 4pm to take part in the fun or just chat to some of the staff and residents.

The day will feature activities the residents enjoy, including live music, baking and cupcake decorating, in the morning, head and hand massages throughout the day, and a belly dancer, who will be performing from 3-4pm.

Activities leader at the home, Helen Barron, said: “UK Older People’s Day is a day which is close to all of our hearts here, so we thought what better way to celebrate our residents and who they are than by inviting the community along to enjoy our ‘full of life festival’, during which there is truly something for everyone.”

The address for anyone wanting to come along, is Breme Care Home, 46 Providence Road, Bromsgrove, B61 8EF.
