Tolly Community Centre, run by Worcester Community Trust, Worcestershire County Council's Bluebell Wood Children's Centre and The Daisy Chain Project are inviting families to a special street party in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee on June 5 in Rowan Avenue.

Between 12.30 and 3.30pm Rowan Avenue will be closed to traffic and the community can enjoy a bucking bronco, face painting, bouncy castle, magician, karaoke and more. There will be a buffet for everyone to enjoy as well as a special appearance from Ben 10. The Fire Brigade will also be displaying their smoke tent where families can learn about fire safety and see what it would be like in a real house fire in the safety of pretend smoke!

The celebration has been made possible due to the hard work from users of the Tolly Centre and from contributions and funding from Bluebell Wood Children's Centre, County Councillor Allah Ditta, Worcester City AOHN funding, Worcester Community Housing, Mazak Worcester, Christ Church, Rose Avenue Fryer, and Pro-Fascia. The centre is also very grateful for all the door to door collection donations they have received.

Sandra Kennedy, Community Worker said: "We hope that lots of families will come and join us in celebrating this momentous occasion. We want the children, residents and organisations of the community to remember this event and be proud of what they have achieved and have a brilliant time."
