THEY may not have made it through to the final, but Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists - the brilliant Bolddog Lings - will certainly be centre-stage at this year’s Royal Three Counties Show which opens the following weekend.

The UK’s number 1, and Honda’s official, freestyle motocross team, sponsored by Lings Motorcyles, they wowed Britain’s Got Talent judges, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams recently with a spectacular audition outside the television studios in London.

Now, in less than two weeks’ time, they will be delighting thousands of visitors when they travel to Malvern to perform a series of daredevil moves to include the Superman seat grab, Indian air, Heel clicker, Rock solid, Switch blade and the Kiss of Death.

The team first came together in the early 1990s as a result of a collaboration between Paul Barkshire, MD of Lings Motorcycles, and brothers Mark, Richard and Phil Bunning. In 1994, another rider, Andy Godbold joined the group which started its professional life as the Lings Honda Motocross Display team. In 1998, the team began to perform for TV, on shows such as ‘You Bet’ and ‘Don’t Try This At Home’, and now travels all over the country. Their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent has heightened their profile further.

Doreen Smillie, shows manager for event organiser, the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “We are thrilled that the Bolddog Lings are coming to Malvern again. Last time they were here, they drew enormous crowds, and now that they have appeared on one of Britain’s best loved television shows, everyone is talking about them.

“The Royal Three Counties Show is renowned for its Main Arena entertainment, and also topping the bill will be The Red Devils Parachute Regiment Display Team, a daily Grand Parade of pedigree animals, The Mounted Games and 2-Fence Show Jumping.”

The event takes place at the Three Counties Showground over Father’s Day weekend – June 13-15.

Other highlights include delicious, locally produced food and drink, cookery demonstrations, the International Orchid Show, the Husqvarna English Pole Climbing competitions, the brand new Malvern Active Sports Village, Real Ale, the Cider & Cheese shows and first class shopping.
