STRUGGLING Worcester Wolves have suffered a further blow after Filip Krämer became the latest player to leave the club.

Wolves confirmed the Austria international had tendered his resignation and were now "seeking his replacement immediately".

Krämer, 26, overcame a broken nose to feature in Wolves’ 114-76 defeat at Sheffield Sharks in the British Basketball League last Friday.

But the forward has chosen to follow Dean Wanliss and Tyrell Martin-Garcia who left Wolves earlier this term through the exit doors at the University of Worcester Arena.

A statement from Wolves read: “Filip Krämer resigned from his post as a player at the Worcester Wolves.

“The club will be seeking his replacement immediately.”

Head coach Ty Shaw, 39, is currently recovering after falling ill during Worcester’s loss at Sheffield.

Bottom club Wolves who have also been hit by injuries this season are on a run of 14 straight league defeats and host leaders London Lions on Friday (7.30pm).
