RYAN Mills returns to the starting XV as Warriors prepare to travel to Leicester tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).

Director of rugby Alan Solomons this week confirmed the centre had been granted permission to seek a mid-contract move away from Sixways amid recent speculation over his future.

He missed out against Wasps, was an unused replacement against Bath and omitted from the squad for last weekend’s 13-10 defeat at Bristol but comes back from the off to make his eighth Premiership appearance of the campaign at Welford Road.

Whether that means his future has now been settled remains to be seen.

Mills replaces Wales international Ashley Beck who suffered a shoulder injury against Bristol Bears on Sunday, missing out as Solomons expected.

That is the only change to the side that was edged out at Ashton Gate and it will be only the second time in the Premiership this season that Warriors have been able to make so few changes.

The squad includes two academy players in wing Nick David and replacement loosehead prop Kai Owen.

David has scored a try in each of his first two Premiership matches while Owen, an England Under-20 international, made his debut in the competition off the bench at Bristol.

Fly-half Duncan Weir needs just nine more points to reach a landmark 400 points during his second season with Warriors.

On the match, Solomons said: “If you look at the table there is not much between the teams sitting much higher up and lower down and there is still a long way to go in the season.

“Leicester is one of the great clubs, not just in England but across the world, they have traditionally been very powerful and although they will be missing international players they will still have a very strong side.”

Tigers received a timely boost with back-rowers Jordan Taufua and Sione Kalamafoni returning alongside scrum-half Ben White. All three missed the defeat at Sale Sharks last time out.
