CITY students have been bouncing to success with the University of Worcester Trampoline Club.

Nine competitors won two gold medals, two silvers and one bronze at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships.

The gymnasts were presented with their prizes by Great Britain Olympic silver medallist Bryony Page.

Worcester also won six golds, three silvers and five bronzes after competing throughout the year in the Southern Universities Trampoline League.

It consisted of five competitions with eight of the 14 medals achieved in the final meet of the league season at Southampton last month.

Club coach Samantha House said: "2018-2019 has been a year of immense progress.

"A team full of hard-working, passionate and dedicated students has resulted in a fantastic year of achievements.

"The club throughout this year has exceeded all initial expectations and will continue to grow in the coming years.

"Any students planning to come to Worcester will be most welcome to try a sport they may not have previously considered and join the growing family."
