OLD Elizabethans went up to third in the Worcestershire Cricket League Premier Division with a 27-run win over Pershore.

The Worcester club, who have now enjoyed back-to-back victories, were bowled out for 135 in 43.2 overs after being asked to bat first following overnight rain.

OEs fell to 18-2, 62-4 and 89-6 as they were grateful to Ted Goodwin (24), Sri Lankan Raminda Wijesooriya (45) and Dan Colburn (40 not out).

The latter hit five fours and two sixes off 52 balls with Stephen Miles (4-37) and Charlie Cross (4-49) the main wicket-takers.

Pershore collapsed to 108 all out in 39.4 overs with 5-28 for Sam Harn, two wickets for Colburn and two for spinner Spencer Wilcock from four balls to round off the innings.

Alex Clasen (38) and Chris Ridings (23) briefly threatened for Pershore.

Luke Courtney (6-19) helped Bewdley beat hosts Worcester by just two runs despite the best efforts of Luke Deeprose (5-44) and Mohammad Adeel (65).

Bromyard climbed into third place in Division One as Josh Van Rensburg (54 not out) led them to a four-wicket win at Droitwich Spa.

Gulham Abbass (91) helped Coombs Wood amass 253 all out to seal a 17-run win over visitors Worcester Nomads despite opener Guy Davies' 90 in reply.

Hosts Bromsgrove seconds won by six wickets against Himbleton to move in to mid-table in Division Two although opener Jon Critchlow scored 83 for the visitors.

Avoncroft's Steve Eastham struck 93 in Division Three to gain a winning draw at Barnards Green seconds.

After back-to-back wins Rushwick are fifth as captain Lewis Hooper (4-33) and Dan Metcalfe (53) led them to a seven-wicket victory at Stourbridge seconds.

Old Elizabethans seconds moved into sixth as they defeated lowly Pershore seconds by eight wickets.

Pershore were reduced to 135-8 from 44 overs after a solid start from openers Nao Heywood (35) and Trevor Ridings (30) with accurate slow bowler Preejith Vatakkedath taking 6-28.

OEs reached a winning 139-2 in 29.2 overs thanks to opener Will French (69no) and Sean Cairney (42no).

In Division Four, Worcester seconds, led by Muhammad Raja (69), gained a maximum-point winning draw at fourth-placed Bromsgrove thirds.

West Malvern remain third in Division Five despite losing by 35 runs at Hanley Castle and Upton.

Rory Mathews scored 70 and Tristan Robinson 69 for Hanley before Todd Mathews took 4-47 with Will Lloyd hitting 60 for West.

Malvern beat hosts Droitwich Spa seconds by 50 runs to climb into fourth with skipper Anthony Arnold's 62 proving crucial while Netherton seconds beat Worcester Nomads seconds by seven wickets.
