- PREVIEW | Worcester City v Long Eaton United
Two Christos Gabriel goals and a strike from Liam Lockett gave the reserves a comfortable 3-0 win at Wyrley in a Midland League match that City dominated from start to finish.
The under 12s gave another powerful performance in a 7-1 success over Alvechurch who gained some revenge with a 6-2 win in the under 13 fixture against City despite the heroics of keeper Christian Carter.
Following goals from Harry Rebbeck and Ed Bowers, Carter saved a penalty and made several more saves before finally being beaten three times in the final quarter as Worcester gambled to get back on level terms.
Honours were even too after matches between City’s under 10 and under 11 teams versus Coventry Sky Blues while the under 14s earned a share of the spoils in a 2-2 tie with Cheltenham Town Development.
