FIRST-time competitors from Worcester’s Riverside Taekwondo Club enjoyed success at a charity event.

Raising more than £500 for Kemp Hospice in Kidderminster, the city club’s members won multiple medals.

Harrison Fletcher, 12, was first in sparring, second in hand power technique and third in kicking technique.

Jake Munden-Bright, 10, finished first in patterns, second in team patterns and kicking technique and third in sparring.

Charlie Smith, eight, was first in sparring and second in patterns and team patterns.

Club instructor Bronach Grewal, a third dan black belt, placed second in individual sparring.

The club, who cater for children and adults, meet on Tuesdays from 7pm until 8pm at Bishop Perowne College and on Thursdays from 6pm until 7pm at St John’s Sports Centre.
