NEIL MacFarlane praised “professional” Harriers after they Atherstone Town to the sword in the FA Cup.

A Dan Bradley hat-trick and goals from Joe Ironside and Kane Richards saw Kidderminster progress with a 5-0 win over their opponents from Division One of the Midlands Football League.

The boss said: “It was a very pleasing result and a very professional performance.

“The performance was how it has been all season. The energy levels and enthusiasm married to some fantastic football was all there.

“You have to give credit to Atherstone as well. They came to play, which was really pleasing to see and it was an entertaining football match.

“The most pleasing aspect of it was making sure we were in the hat for the next round.

“I said to them at half time that we’d treated the game properly. Our attitude and application was brilliant and everything I wanted from us after Tuesday night when it was our first set-back of a really successful start to the season and it tells me everything I thought about the group.”

On hat-trick hero Bradley, he added: “He was brilliant and he scored a hat-trick as well. He’s another one, married along with the boys, whose attitude to the game was first class from the first minute. When you treat the game that way you usually get your rewards.”

Harriers will now return to league action next week when Altrincham visit Aggborough.

MacFarlane said: “First and foremost today was about getting through and it was about bouncing back. When you lose a football match its important to win your next one and you can see the confidence levels haven’t changed in any way.

“We will look forward to next week and hopefully win again and really start another unbeaten run, which is important, and try to maintain that unbeaten home record now that we have here.”
