MEET the netball players from Bromsgrove School who were crowned West Midland under 19 champions late last month.

Having convincingly won their group matches, Bromsgrove then defeated Bishops Vesey's Grammar School in the semi-finals before going onto get the better of Wrekin Co0llege in the final by an emphatic 18-10 scoreline.

Bromsgrove School now go forward to represent the West Midlands in the National Finals which take place in March.

The Bromsgrove side comprised of: Ellie Preece, Rhea Patel, Tumba Katanda, Taylor Watson, Imogen Faulconbridge (capt), Ellie Bennett (vice-capt), Kitty Luscombe, Lauren Neilson-Watts and Hannah Barwell.

Breomsgrove's Under-16 side also impressed by winning five and losing two of their pool matches and just missed out on progressing into the later rounds.

The Under-14's won their pool, but then lost out in the semi-finals.

All of the Bromsgrove sides fought their way through to the finals where the senior boys 4 x 50 freestyle team of Euan Vaughan-Hawkins, Marcus Ng, Sam Osborne and captain Tristan Bland stole the show by winning gold.
