Everybody in the UK has been asked to stop non-essential contact with other people and avoid all unnecessary travel. This is known as social distancing or self-isolation.
It means many of us are now working from home, children are off school and social gatherings and events have been cancelled or postponed.
It is easy to feel down or distanced from people during this time, so we are asking people to send in their self isolation stories and selfies.
Social media will really come into it's own as we feel the pressures of not being able to visit family or friends. We are here for you during this time, you can reach me on our Facebook page or by emailing jemma.bufton@newsquest.co.uk
Get in touch, share a selfie, a story or simply just a smilie.
In a time where we are forced to separate, lets make sure we stay connected.
