TWO men arrested in relation to a stabbing in the city centre have seen their bail terms extended as investigations continue.

A 39-year-old man from Worcester was arrested on September 23 on suspicion of attempted murder and released on police bail until last Sunday (October 20) but that has now been extended.

Another man, aged 45, was also arrested at the same time on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on bail until last Friday (October 18) and has also had his bail extended.

It is unclear at this stage when they are due back to police to answer bail.

A total of five people have been arrested in relation to the stabbing on September 20 at around 5.55pm in Nash's Passage, an alley off New Street.

The victim has been named locally as Paul Gill.

A 48-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on bail, while a woman, aged 44, and a man, 54, were released under investigation after being detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.
