LARGE areas of the country are preparing for rain and thunder this week, with a weather warning going out for much of the country.
The yellow weather warning put out by the Met Office warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms which may lead to flooding and disruption to travel.
The warning covers most of England and Eastern Scotland, with Worcester set to receive rain on Tuesday with the chance of thunder.
Temperature-wise, the week is set to be hot, with temperatures above 20 degrees across the county.
According to the BBC, some further heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, which will otherwise be very warm.
Further afield, most of continental Europe is braced for one of the hottest weeks on record, with over 40 degrees expected in France and Germany.
