After 11 years as the Worcestershire County Coordinator for Help for Heroes, Ian Baldry has handed over the baton to a younger member of the team.

Ian, the longest serving volunteer with the charity and one of the first recipients of the Hero Award, for his leadership, will remain as a fundraiser. Neil Roberts replaces him in the new position of Team Leader for Worcestershire.

Neil, with wife Helen, has been involved with Help for Heroes since 2012 when they organised an event in their home village of Kempsey, raising over £1200.

Neil said “I am delighted to be following in Ian’s footsteps and take on this new position. I am most fortunate in having an established team of experienced fundraising volunteers.

"One of my priorities is to further increase our volunteer network to ensure that Worcestershire along with the ongoing support of the public continues to do its bit in raising the all important donations to fund the services provided by Help for Heroes in particular our Hidden Wounds Programme."
