Sir – I and many others have noticed that the work on junction 6 seems to be carried out by workers in groups of six but only two working and four watching, is it any wonder that there are delays in completing the work.
I used to pass the junction 2 roadworks on a regular basis and it was exactly the same there. If 60 per cent of the workforce are watching it’s not really a surprise that roadworks cost so much and regularly go over budget.
Surely the the ground at junction 6 was surveyed before starting the work so blaming the type of ground for the delays is just an excuse.
Our MP Mr Walker is absolutely right when he says Highways England are a disgrace and a law unto themselves, they just keep on proving it.
