WARRIORS stalwart Chris Pennell is inviting fans to a special celebration with his fellow players on his Testimonial Day.

Pennell's Testimonial Day takes place on Saturday March 9 when Warriors face Exeter Chiefs at Sixways.

Pennell, 31, who has played for Warriors since 2007 and is celebrating his testimonial year, said: "I'm thrilled to have such a memorable fixture on the Testimonial Day and our games against Exeter Chiefs are always the toughest of tests.

"It's a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds for our chosen Testimonial charities too. I'm so proud to be supporting The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, Acorns Children's Hospice and Diabetes UK for the year.

"The Testimonial committee have organised a pre-game hospitality package for people who would like to support us on the day. There's a Q&A with some of the Warriors lads, food, beer, entry into the raffle and seats in the North Stand all included.

"It would be amazing to have plenty of support there cheering us on and helping out our worthy causes."

Pennell runs rugby sessions for children with diabetes and encourages people with the condition to play sport, having been diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of 19.
