A HAVE-A-GO hero who suffered head injuries when he confronted burglars at his home is out of hospital, the Worcester News has been told.

The man in his 60s attempted to stop the thieves stealing his moped from his home in Cornmeadow Lane, Claines.

The victim was awoken in the night after hearing noise outside his property and went outside, finding the suspects removing a Honda moped from his property and putting it into a white Ford transit van. At the time Claines neighbours were shocked by the incident calling the victim a lovely man, with police stepping up patrols in the area.

And Inspector David Troth from West Mercia Police called it a nasty incident, appealing for help to find the find the offenders and to help "bring them to justice".

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "There are no updates in relation to the incident at present.

"Investigations are ongoing and we continue to appeal for information."
