A club is celebrating 10 years good work in the community.

Worcester Vigornia Rotary Club started in 2019 with the news that throughout 2018 the club’s members had contributed over 1,000 volunteer hours within the city at events including Cancer Research’s Race for life and Relay for Life, Spetchley Living History Living Show, Worcester Rotaries Christmas Parcels and the club’s annual Mulled Wine stand at the Victorian Fayre in Worcester. The club’s members have plenty to celebrate, as last year marked their 10th birthday and saw them welcome in even more new members to the club.

Club President Charles Robinson said: "We are delighted to have been so active and achieved so much in our tenth year as a Rotary club. As a younger Rotary Club, we’re especially excited to have had such a successful year and delighted to have also gained our current youngest member, Claire James, Fundraiser at St Richard’s Hospice. We have a lot planned for 2019, some of which has already begun, so we know it’s going to be another busy year."

The club has plenty planned for the year ahead including a talk from Children’s author Petr Horacek and charity Guy’s Gift; alongside many different volunteering and fundraising activities, not to mention its annual Sports Day on 19th June 2019.

The club meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, at Fownes Hotel in Worcester, 7:15am for a 7:30am start and finishing at 8:30am with a mixture of business and guest speakers on a range of topics. All are welcome to attend.
