A MAN who died after being hit by a train in Tibberton was 72 years old and from Birmingham, British Transport Police have said.
The family of the man have now also been identified and informed and we understand they do not want to pay tribute at this time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man's name has not yet been released publicly.
Police and paramedics were called to the tracks near Evelench Lane at 10.04am on Wednesday (February 6) after reports of the casualty.
A spokesman for BTP said the man was found dead at the scene and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
National Rail reported that trains were being disrupted between Bromsgrove and Cheltenham Spa due to the incident.
