POLICE have been carrying out reassurance work in Droitwich after a woman was found dead, believed to be murdered.
The body of Amy Griffiths, 51, was discovered by officers in her Chalverton Court flat on January 14, before Martin Saberi, 53, appeared at magistrates’ court three days later charged with her murder.
Sergeant Sarah Kent, speaking at a recent town council meeting, said: “My team have been doing some work around reassurance – there was a person arrested almost immediately.
“A serious offence like that can unsettle people, so we have been doing some work to settle people and make sure everyone is informed as much as they can be and aware that it’s all under control, under investigation.
“Hopefully the residents there can start to settle down,” she added.
