SOME people have woken up to a smattering of the white stuff in Worcestershire this morning.

And the Met Office has issued a yellow warning of ice.

The light snow has covered parts of the county, and West Mercia Police has been warning about tricky driving conditions and to go slower to avoid collisions.

The yellow warning for ice says: "Ice will form on some surfaces later Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday, with further wintry showers at times.

"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

"Ice on some roads, pavements and cycle paths."

The forecast today is for it to be dry and sunny spells, cold, with temperatures reaching 4C but dropping overnight at around 11pm to -2C. The forecast is for it to be dry again tomorrow but it should be a little warmer, with temperatures getting up to 6C.
