IF January comes with blues, and not so much of that New Year rhythm, the Artrix in Bromsgrove may just have the perfect solution.

Music that ticks all boxes will be on offer at the venue during the first month of 2019.

A spokesman said: “Artrix begins the New Year with a bang as top, pop tribute The Take That Experience relight your fire on Friday January 4, shortly followed by the finest, most authentic rhythm and blues band ever to come from outside the USA, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys on Saturday 5 January 5.

“Bromsgrove Concerts presents their first concert of 2019, Zelkova String Quartet on Friday January 11. The concert features music from four very different composers Haydn, Judith Weir, Bartok and Beethoven, played by a prize winning quartet who like to share information about the music with their audiences for a more relaxed approach to performance.”

The spokesman added: “The Best of Queen perform Queen’s Greatest Hits at Artrix on Saturday January 12 followed by Money For Nothing: Dire Straits Tribute on the Main Stage on Friday January 18.

“The Johnny Cash Roadshow, the only show endorsed by the Cash family, returns to Artrix with the San Quentin Anniversary Show on Saturday January 19.

To round off the month’s music, The Counterfeit Stones will perform for two nights in a row at Artrix on Friday January 25 and Saturday January 26.

The spokesman added: “There are even musical treats in store for cinema goers at Artrix this January, beginning with The King of Waltz André Rieu bringing his New Year’s concert to millions of fans across the world, with a special cinema screening on January 6 and January 7.
