A ROBBER wearing sunglasses and wielding a large knife raided a Worcester garage before making off with cash.
Staff are understood to be shaken but unhurt following the robbery at the Texaco garage in Ombersley Road, Worcester, at around 5.30am this morning (Sunday).
West Mercia Police duty inspector Andy Smith described the robber as wearing a grey hoodie, black sunglasses and blue jeans.
The robber, described as around 5ft 8ins tall, was holding a knife and took a large amount of cash from the till.
Inspector Smith said: "There is no threat to the public in relation to the incident." MFG Northwick Service Station was closed and taped off in the early hours while forensic investigations were carried out by police.
The Worcester News has requested CCTV stills and video of the robbery but has yet to receive this from the police or the service station.
Inspector Smith appealed for anyone with information about the robbery to contact police on 101, quoting incident reference 154s181118.
