GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police are going into Newent Community School to discuss ways in which vulnerable people, especially young people, can feel safer in the community.
A police spokesman said: "A recurring theme in Newent stems from the concerns about vulnerable individuals and groups in the town and how as a group we can minimise the risks and help all groups feel safe.
"This priority is based on The Police and Crime Commissioner’s priority of 'Accessibility and Accountability' and 'Young people becoming adults'
The spokesman added: "Local officers are working closely with partners, including Newent Community school, and have been making some great progress whilst PC Saunders and colleagues have been ensuring that law enforcement opportunities are acted upon swiftly when and where it is proportionate to do so."
