A KIND-HEARTED teenage Bromsgrove schoolgirl has generously donated her long hair to support and raise awareness of the Little Princess Trust.

Bromsgrove School student Anaiya Sunner, 16, gave 15 inches of hair and also raised more than £500 for the charity, which uses real hair to make wigs for children and young people with cancer.

The cost of making each wig is £550 and Anaiya has thus far raised £510 - to donate, visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/anaiya-sunner

Anaiya said: “I wanted to do something to help change somebody’s life and make them smile.

"A few family members and friends have had cancer and lost their hair.

"I learned how hard it had been for them and then I thought about children that also go through this and how difficult it must be for them.

“I found out about the Little Princess Trust and decided to donate my hair to them since they were in need of longer lengths of hair.

"I originally didn’t do any fundraising, but since my cut, family and friends have been asking where to donate, so I set up a Just Giving page.

"We’re very close to the goal and I still have lots of family and friends who still want to donate.

"I would love it if we could raise enough to cover the cost of two wigs now!

"I’m so happy that I’ve been able to directly help a young child and I am loving my new hairstyle!"
