A STOLEN car and a knife have been recovered following a police chase through the borough which saw two men arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Officers from Brierley Hill gave chase after responding to a call about a burglary in progress in Compton Road, Cradley Heath, this morning (July 8).
Two vehicles reportedly made off from the scene with police in pursuit of one of them, a red Skoda, to Netherton.
Officers then gave chase on foot, after the vehicle was abandoned, with a police dog drafted in.
A large Rambo style knife was recovered during the drama and both occupants, aged 21 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of an offensive weapon and taking a vehicle without consent.
Dudley PC Jamie Follows said the car which was recovered had been stolen during a burglary in May and that both men were this morning in custody as the police investigation continued.
