This is Armed Forces Week.

Whilst there may not be public events we still thank our Armed Forces Community for all they do on our behalf.

Today at the County Hospital Hereford

Just like every event this year, changes have been put in place, but Herefordshire will still proudly celebrate Armed Forces Week.

LIKE every year, Herefordshire has celebrated Armed Forces Week.

Not to be defeated by COVID-19, the determination was to put the spotlight on those who make up our local Armed Forces community.

Sadly there will be no events this year.

Look out for flags around the City.

On Armed Forces Day itself, Saturday, June 27, please remember to, in whatever way you can, show your support for our military, veterans and families.

There has never been a more significant time to support our Armed Forces. As well as continuing with their defence tasks at home and around the world some 20,000 members of the Armed Forces are playing a vital part in the national effort to combat the Coronavirus pandemic working alongside the NHS in strategic, logistic and frontline roles.

Here, in Herefordshire it’s once again time to acknowledge the outstanding contribution our Armed Forces community makes to the nation and our local community: our serving troops and their families, reservists, veterans, cadet forces and our military charities.
