DOGS are very much part of country life in areas like Ludlow and south Shropshire and Tenbury and the Teme Valley.
But whilst people are allowed to take dogs for a walk they must keep at least two metres from other people.
Dogs can run and play together but the advice is to avoid stroking other people’s dogs as it is possible for the virus to be carried on fur, collars and leads.
People should wash their hands before and after taking their pets out.
There is no evidence that the Covid-19 virus can be passed to dogs or cats.
But dog walkers must make sure that they clean up after their pets and dispose of mess in the correct way.
