KIDDERMINSTER Male Choir has donated £200 towards essential maintenance at the town's Scout building.
The choir has allocated £4,500 to be shared among charitable causes and social groups within Wyre Forest in an effort to support vulnerable or disadvantaged communities.
Kidderminster Scout Group was among those to apply for a share of the funds, and secured £200 towards repairs at its building in Chestnut Grove, which caters for 50 children between six and 14 years old.
Keith Walton, charity ambassador for Kidderminster Male Choir, said: "KMC wanted to assist smaller groups who were raising their own funds with no help from major sponsors or lottery grants.
"The aim is to support groups from the elderly, disadvantaged and the young.
"One such application was from 6th Kidderminster Scout Group based in Franche. They rely on weekly contributions from the children and their own fundraising.
"KMC Charity Wards Committee agreed to support the Scout Group with a donation of £200 for essential maintenance to their building."
