Shuck was sentenced to prison after magistrates said the offence was made more serious because he was already subject to a custodial sentence.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

In a case at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (March 16), a Kidderminster man was jailed for nearly a year for a series of crimes including criminal damage, theft and carrying an offensive weapon.

Jamie Cook, of no fixed abode, caused more than £5,000 worth of damage to fixtures and fittings at Market House in Kidderminster on May 19 last year.

The 23-year-old also admitted stealing a bicycle, carrying an offensive weapon - namely a wheel brace - in Worcester Street, and being in possession of cannabis on March 15 this year.

Cook further pleaded guilty to damaging a window at the Pennies pub in Kidderminster and damaging a cell at the town's police station.

Magistrates jailed him for 52 weeks and ordered him to pay £500 in compensation for the Market House damage plus £100 for the broken pub window.

In a separate case, a man was jailed for assaulting a woman in Stourport.

Darren Anslow, aged 48, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to assaulting and verbally abusing Janice Anslow on March 14 this year.

The crimes placed Anslow in breach of a community behaviour order, made last year.

Magistrates said the offences were aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending and jail Anslow for six weeks.

They also ordered him to pay a £122 victim surcharge and £60 in court costs.
