STAFF at Hollyfields and Ivy House Care Homes in Kidderminster took to the roads in their minibus today to thank those protecting the district from flooding.
Michael Butler, activities co-ordinator, and the care homes' teams wanted to give something back to members of the Environmental Agency and emergency services to thank them for their hard work in the wake of Storm Dennis.
Fiona Brewin, general manager of Hollyfields and Ivy House, said: “These men and women are working hard to help keep our local community safe during these times of flooding, high winds and heavy showers, so much that we visited them during this time with delicious homemade cakes, biscuits and hot drinks just to say thank you for all they do."
The River Severn in Bewdley is expected to reach near record highs by Wednesday afternoon. For live updates, follow our live blog.
