A 23-YEAR-OLD man who was found carrying a knuckle duster in Kidderminster has been jailed for six months.
Brandon French, of Lye High Street, was charged with carrying an offensive weapon in Mill Street on Monday last week (February 3).
He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court the following day and also admitted being in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
The court heard this was the third time French had been found with a prohibited item in his possession.
Because of the defendant's guilty plea, magistrates decided not to commit the case to the crown court.
French was jailed for six months and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
The knuckle duster and the cannabis were ordered to be destroyed.
