POLICE are warning Halesowen residents about a man who has been seen trying to get into cars on driveways and trying front doors.

The warning states that there were a series of attempted burglaries and vehicle interference type offences reported in the early hours of Saturday (January 18) in Valley Road, Summerfields Avenue and Hillbrow Crescent.

Debbie Priest, local engagement officer, for West Midlands Police, said: "All have occurred between 0430 hrs and 0450 hrs where a single male is seen on various pieces of CCTV trying and gaining access to vehicles on driveways, and he has been captured also trying front door handles.

"We have received reports of an attempted burglary within Valley Road and Summerfields Avenue, Halesowen.

"And a vehicle interference on Hillbrow Crescent, Halesowen.

"Please make sure that your car fob has done its job and that your car is locked.

"Please don’t leave anything on display, remove all items.

"Before going to bed please double check that your windows and doors are securely locked.

"If you do see any suspicious behaviour please report it to us immediately."
