TIME is running out to vote for your favourite pub in this year’s Malvern Gazette Pub of the Year competition.

This week, our chosen pub is the Nags Head in Bank Street, a well known favourite as a Malvern watering hole.

The Nags is a classical English pub, with wood beams, a roaring fire and a good choice of beers and ales on offer.

It recently reached the final of the Mountain Warehouse award for best post-walk pub.

The citation describes the Nags Head as “The best pub in town to rest weary legs after a ramble around the renowned hills.”

The winner will be announced in the Gazette on December 27, and the landlord will receive a Pub of the Year 2019 trophy and be invited to the Houses of Parliament by whomever the incumbent MP is for West Worcestershire following the election.

Voting closes on Friday, December 20, so use the slip in today’s newspaper to name your favourite pub.

We’re now allowing our readers to vote for their favourite pub by email too.

All they need to do is email deb.walton@localiq.co.uk with the subject ‘MALVERN GAZETTE PUB OF THE YEAR: NAME OF THE PUB THEY ARE VOTING FOR’ and then, in the body of the email, explain why they’ve chosen this pub.

The deadline for email votes is Friday, December 20. Where do you like to go for a drink or two in Malvern? Let us know.
