Pupils at Lickey End First School have been given high visibility bag tags from David Wilson Homes.

David Wilson Homes Mercia donated 150 tags for the pupils to use while walking to and from school, making them easier to be seen on the road in the dark.

The homebuilder is currently building less than a mile away from the school at its Gilberts Lea development on Birmingham Road.

Paula Landon, assistant head at Lickey End First School, said: “We’re very grateful to David Wilson Homes for supporting such a great initiative and we really appreciate the hi-vis bag tags they’ve provided for our children to wear, on their way to and from school during Road Safety Week and beyond.”

Dominic Harman, managing director at David Wilson Mercia, said:

“We want to urge pupils to keep safe and seen on the roads, and our donation of hi-visibility bag tags to the school will help keep the children safe as the nights draw in.”
