AN at-home care provider based in Bewdley has been rated 'outstanding' overall after a visit by inspectors.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited TLC Care at Home in Load Street on September 6 and inspectors were particularly impressed by the company's "exceptional and distinctive" leadership.

A follow-up report said that staff and the management team were passionate about providing quality care and supporting people, and demonstrated "consistent empathy and understanding" for their clients, who considered them friends.

Management and staff members were said to "consistently go that extra mile" and arranged excursions and events to improve people's well-being.

Inspectors found that people's privacy was respected and their dignity maintained.

The care provider was rated 'good' in the safe, effective and responsive categories, and 'outstanding' for caring and well-led.

Jacqui Jackson, the company's registered manager, said: "This was an absolutely fantastic result, not only for the dedicated, caring and professional staff, but for the clients too.

"We look after over 70 clients, all with varying support requirements. We operate 365 days a year, come what may, and I cannot praise the wonderful staff enough who always respond to the demands of care."

TLC Care at Home has been in business since 2013, initially running from a bedroom at Jacqui's home before it expanded to meet increasing demand.

Its 50 staff serve clients in Kidderminster, Stourport, Cleobury Mortimer and remote areas of Clee Hill, Mamble, Rock, Button Oak and Stottesdon.
