POLICE, immigration services and the district council visited a car wash in Kidderminster this afternoon (Monday, November 25) after concerns were raised about possible modern slavery.
Officers from the Broadwaters Safer Neighbourhood Team visited Super Hand Car Wash in Broad Street at around 1.30pm following a referral from an anti-modern day slavery organisation in response to a complaint from a member of the public.
Following the visit, police confirmed there were no modern slavery offences being committed at the premises.
PCSO Luke Holloway, of West Mercia Police, said: "We had received information from a referral after a member of the public raised concern about the business.
"We visited the car wash, alongside immigration and Wyre Forest District Council and can confirm there were no police offences or immigration offences being committed.
"The council were quite happy and all in all, it was a good result."
A police spokesman added: "We are sorry for any disruption this may have caused."
