A CARE home in Kidderminster has teamed up with a local primary school to form an intergenerational choir.

Elderly residents at Brook Court, in Oldnall Road, and pupils from Foley Park Primary Academy are preparing for a dementia-friendly concert at Kidderminster Town Hall on Thursday, November 28.

This is the debut performance for choir members, who have been busy rehearsing a medley of songs for the show.

Gill Pratt, home manager at Brook Court, said: "Intergenerational relationships benefit both residents and the pupils, so the choir is a fantastic way of bringing them together.

"It’s been really special watching the friendships grow during rehearsals.

"The residents and pupils have picked out some lovely songs, as well as some festive carols, to get into the Christmas spirit, including everyone’s favourite Jingle Bells.

"I’m very much looking forward to watching the performance - break a leg to all the performers!”

The choir will perform between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and entrance is free. For more information, call 01562 732682.
